Michał Małafiejski, Ph. D., assistant professor at the Department of Algorithms and System Modeling at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of the Gdansk University of Technology, chairman of the Sphere Research Labs. Winner of the Award of the City Gdańsk "Młody Heweliusz" ("Young Hevelius") (2006), of the Prime Minister's award for his doctoral dissertation (2003), scholar of the Foundation for Polish Science (2003, 2004), author of over 20 articles published in scientific journals on theoretical computer science, complexity theory, algorithms and scheduling theory.

Since 2001 he has been conducting lectures at the Gdansk University of Technology relating to, e.g. programming, designing and analysing algorythms, discrete optimisation algorithms, operational research, combinatorial algorithms, advanced object techniques, Internet modelling. Since 2006 he has been conducting lectures Gdansk School of Banking for students of Computer Science and Econometrics.
